  • The personal struggles that fuel authentic writing and connect deeply with audiences
  • Surprising fun facts about her name, her golfing background, and full-circle career moments

Quotations:

“I was super drawn to creating at a super young age.” ~ Trannie Anderson

“I do love to sing, even though I don’t wanna be the one who is on the tour bus and on the jet.” ~ Trannie Anderson

“Traveling the world and living out of a suitcase every day. I don’t want to do that, but I love to sing, so it’s been really fun to get to use my voice in that way and help support my friends’ music.” ~ Trannie Anderson

“The country music fan base, I mean, most of those people are going through some shit. And I am glad that I have also gotten to go through some shit because that has just, I think, helped my songs connect with people on a deeper level, just because I can write really honestly and have some depth in my music.” ~ Trannie Anderson

“There are just so many stars that have to align for a song to even have a life outside of the writing room. So that’s why, for me, I always know when something is good, but I never know when something is going to go on to be a hit country song.” ~ Trannie Anderson

“I’m very thankful that that’s my name because it is memorable, and that’s been helpful for me. I think in my music career, having a memorable name is definitely a good thing.” ~ Trannie Anderson

Bio:

Trannie Anderson is a songwriter from Waco, Texas, who honed her craft as an active member of NSAI before signing a co-publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing in 2018. Richard Ramos

What does it really take to raise strong, grounded kids in a world full of noise and pressure?

This week on Here’s What We Know, join us for a much-needed conversation with Richard R. Ramos, founder of Parents on a Mission, mentor to at-risk youth, and champion of family reconciliation. We explore what it means to lead with love, humility, and emotional maturity as a parent.

Richard shares practical tools for breaking generational cycles, rebuilding trust, and guiding your children with confidence. If you’re a parent, educator, or someone who works with families, this episode will leave you encouraged and equipped.

In this Episode:

  • Why healing your own past is the key to becoming a stronger parent
  • How to earn your child’s loyalty in a world full of distractions
  • The quiet power of humility and modeling accountability
  • What “preparation for separation” really means and why it matters
  • Simple ways to build a lasting family legacy, starting today

Quotations:

“I could help more people, but the truth is, there are a lot of families out there or parents that don’t want help. And I can’t do anything about that.” ~ Richard Ramos

“I always tell a parent, growing old is automatic, but growing up is not. And when you don’t keep growing in your maturity, what ends up happening is you have that 35-year-old dad with a 15-year-old mentality. And the problem with that is then they start having children.” ~ Richard Ramos

“If we have the humility and we show as an authority figure, we show our children that, yeah, I’m the person in authority, but I still have the humility to recognize when I’m wrong, admit it, and ask for forgiveness. And that goes a long way. That in itself would solve so many family issues.” ~ Richard Ramos

“Society today is undermining the authority of parents.” ~ Richard Ramos

“We can’t force people to learn and grow and be. They have to want to learn and grow and be better.” ~ Richard Ramos

“We don’t need to be afraid to have our kids around other kids and other things, because if you don’t do that and you isolate your children, you’re weakening their immune system, and you’re weakening their ability to learn what real life is all about because real life is tough.” ~ Richard Ramos

“We’re battling for heart, mind, and loyalty. Loyalty is a gift that we choose to give. And so when kids are giving that gift to their mom and dad, it’s a done deal.” ~ Richard Ramos

“It doesn’t take a village to raise a child. just takes good parenting. But one child can raise up a whole village. And that’s the power of parenting. And we know through history, one person, just one person, can change a community, can change a state, a nation, or the world.” ~ Richard Ramos

“We’re the only thing on earth that God gave the ability to have free will to choose.” ~ Richard Ramos

“You can be the gardener and the rose at the same time.” ~ Richard Ramos

“We are victims of the choices we make in our circumstances. And if we remember that, we’re not playing the blame game. We’re taking responsibility for ourselves and looking within ourselves and growing ourselves and forgiving ourselves because we’re not going to get it right all the time.” ~ Richard Ramos
