Quotations:

“Fitness, I look at it sort of in this triangle of awareness, and there has to be a deep-rooted why within that triangle of awareness that connects somebody to what it is that they’re doing to get them or so that when they’re going to the gym, whatever they’re doing, whether they’re hiking or whatever, there’s a bigger connection than I’m just here to fitness today.” ~ Scott Howell

“I don’t care who you are—you should be doing some type of fitness on a regular, consistent basis for long-term health.” ~ Scott Howell

“But you have to have a connection to what it is that you’re training or why it is that you’re training to ever come up with what it is I should be doing, how often I should be doing it, and what exercises I should do. All of those, it’s like a flow chart of kinds of things, and then you can kind of work into a matrix of things without over-complicating it.” ~ Scott Howell

“When folks embark on this quote-unquote fitness journey, it should be more of a lifestyle that you’re adopting here, and what works for you and why is that important for you, and let’s figure out a way to make that work because there is no one-size-fits-all. It just doesn’t exist.” ~ Scott Howell

“There’s not one workout. There is you, and there is where you’ve been, where you are now, and where you want to go. And how do we make sense of this? And how do we then put some things that are actionable and reasonable.” ~ Scott Howell

Quotations:

“I read a lot of science stuff. I just like a lot of science because I’m so into the way things work.” ~ Benjamin L. Smith

“For the last 10 years, I’ve read thousands of articles to come up with this book. But no, it’s not for pleasure. It’s more just to learn.” ~ Benjamin L. Smith

“I remember watching a video one time and a doctor came on; he was talking about what he learned in medical school, and they said the teacher told him that 50% of what you are gonna learn and you’re gonna find out is incorrect. And thought, wow, that’s interesting.” ~ Benjamin L. Smith

“Native American cultures just worshiped water. And I just wondered why. So I kept diving deeper and deeper. And I realized that water, like I write in the book, is consciousness.” ~ Benjamin L. Smith

“On my model, I said mineral deficiencies cause chronic dehydration.” ~ Benjamin L. Smith

“Water is all there is; it’s consciousness expressing itself.” ~ Benjamin L. Smith

“When you’re dehydrated,  it’s taking essential amino acids that are used to make the protein melatonin, which is needed to help for sleep and causing that problem.” ~ Benjamin L. Smith

“There are the plants, then the animals, the squirrels, and then the insects, and the birds eat the insects. It’s just that everything works together. And when we mono-crop, we’re destroying that system. And in turn, we are causing really a lot of problems.” ~ Benjamin L. Smith

“The reason sugar is bad is because it thickens the blood. just like if you mix water and sugar together and make a meal and you’re cooking. That’s what nobody really talks about. They talk about how we need insulin to get that sugar out of the blood, which is super important, but they don’t really say why. The why is that it thickens the blood. If you don’t get the sugar out of the blood, you’re gonna die because it’s not gonna flow. That’s what insulin does.” ~ Benjamin L. Smith

“Chronic stress can contribute to chronic disease.” ~ Benjamin L. Smith
“One of your main jobs is, and exercise builds mitochondria because it builds muscle. The more muscle you have, the more mitochondria you have. So these are things like I said, people don’t talk about or know.” ~ Benjamin L. Smith

Bio:

Benjamin Smith is an Award-Winning Health Coach & Advocate for Wellness. His journey to becoming an award-winning health coach is rooted in a lifelong curiosity about the human body and a passion for uncovering the “why” behind health and disease. Inspired early on by his dermatologist father, Benjamin’s philosophical questions about life and science laid the foundation for a lifelong interest in wellness.

Although he spent 30 years running a successful automotive detailing business, his fascination with health persisted as a personal pursuit. In 2012, his world changed when he lost his sister to cancer—a moment that ignited a deep dive into understanding chronic disease. Driven by the question, “Does the body want to kill itself?” Benjamin became obsessed with finding answers and discovered the transformative properties of water, including its capacity to hold memory.

By 2019, Benjamin felt a calling to share his knowledge and help others. He earned his certification through the Primal Health Coach Institute, aligning his values with a holistic approach to wellness. Teaching and lecturing soon became his passion, leading him to author a groundbreaking book that encapsulates a decade of research, hundreds of articles, and insights from experts.

Through his work, Benjamin strives to empower others with hope and practical tools to prevent and combat chronic disease. His mission is simple yet profound: if his model can save even one person, he considers his work a success.
